Intern PROJECT INSPECTOR
Job Summary:
The Intern will train in proper procedures for the inspection of work being done under projects that True Inspection Services, LLC is involved in which includes training and mentorship intended to provide an opportunity for participants to gain the knowledge and experience necessary to become a Project Inspector.
Duties/Responsibilities:
The Intern is an individual not yet prequalified as a Project Inspector who will perform support functions in record keeping, maintain accurate data of work performed, organize materials & compile information to assist in report preparation. Our Inspectors are in the field overseeing projects being constructed from the ground up. Whether it is a simple roadway resurfacing or the construction of a new bridge, our civil engineers are in the middle of it all!
May work in various counties based on the location of the construction project assigned.

Qualifications
Must currently be enrolled in a college or university, pursuing a Civil Engineering degree, and be in good academic standing with a minimum of a 2.00 GPA. Must show proof of valid driver’s license in order to operate a company vehicle.
Minimum Experience and Education
- Intern I
High School Diploma or high school equivalency (HiSET, TASC, or GED) and the ability to read, write, and communicate in English and do basic math computation for length, area, and volume. No project technical/field experience is required. - Intern II
- Must meet the requirements of an Intern I and have a minimum of 6 months of involvement in activities related to the inspection and testing of highway construction. Of the 6 months, the experience must be comprised of:
- A minimum of 3 months must be full-time experience inspecting or assisting in the inspection of capital highway construction project(s).
- A maximum of 3 months may be full-time experience in closely related construction field work that must involve materials testing, surveying, inspection, and/or management of pavement, structure, or geotechnical work.
OR
- At a minimum, be enrolled in an Associate Degree program or higher in Civil Engineering Technology, Construction Engineering Technology, Construction Management, or in an ODOT-recognized construction inspection training program.
- Must meet the requirements of an Intern I and have a minimum of 6 months of involvement in activities related to the inspection and testing of highway construction. Of the 6 months, the experience must be comprised of:
- Intern III
Meet all requirements for Intern II and possess an additional 6 months of full-time heavy highway project technical/field experience.
