I-70/I-71 Downtown Ramp Up (Columbus, Ohio)
True Inspection Services is providing project engineering and construction inspection services on this major roadway rehabilitation and widening project. This project is part of a series of projects to reconstruct Interstates 70/71 in downtown Columbus, Ohio. When complete, the projects will result in new urban avenues with complete streets, enhanced freeway crossings with safe pedestrian and bicyclist accommodations, and the removal of outdated ramps. Project work items include reconstruction of portions of I-70 east and west, I-71 north, reconstruction of I-70 from SR 315 to Grant Avenue, including bridges over the Scioto River, SR315, NFS and CSX railroads, reconstruction of 3rd, 4th and High Street bridges, along with the construction of seven retaining walls. The total construction cost is estimated at $343 million, started in Spring of 2024 and is slated to be completed by Summer of 2031.
