Widening of State Route 117

The project consisted of widening State Route 117 for the installation of turn lanes, as well as moving State Route 501 (Wapakoneta Road) to improve the intersection geometrics.  State Route 117 was widened for the installation of left turn lanes at the intersection. This project also involved the replacement of a culvert along Wapakoneta Road just north of the intersection.

TIS Responsibilities for the Widening of State Route 117

True Inspection Services inspected the installation of new drainage (catch basins, storm water pipes, underdrains) and removal of existing asphalt. The project also has undercuts, excavation, embankment, pavement, concrete walks, and lighting.

Project Inspector / Lighting Specialist

Mr. Pratt worked as a construction inspector and lighting specialist on this project. The project consisted of widening State Route 117 for the installation of turn lanes, as well as moving State Route 501 (Wapakoneta Road) to improve the intersection geometrics. He inspected lighting installations including new strain poles and traffic signals at the intersections and monitored the work zones. Other duties included inspection of underdrains, storm sewer drains and the addition of new catch basins. Mr. Pratt also inspected compaction, embankment, undercuts, and paving operations. He completed daily reports and entered the reports with pay items and photos into SiteManager.
