Brent Spence Bridge Corridor Project

Client: ODOT, District 8 & Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC)

Project Date: Ongoing | Anticipated Completion Date: 2035

True Inspection Services is providing engineering, construction inspection, and coatings inspection services in both Ohio and Kentucky as a subconsultant on the Brent Spence Bridge Corridor (BSBC) Project. Our team is supporting quality assurance and construction oversight on one of the nation’s most significant transportation infrastructure projects, helping ensure work is completed in accordance with project specifications, applicable standards, and quality requirements.

The BSBC Project is the largest transportation investment in the Ohio Department of Transportation’s (ODOT) history and has received national recognition for its importance to the country’s freight transportation network. The project is transforming approximately eight miles of the I-71/I-75 corridor between Ohio and Kentucky through the construction of a new double-deck companion bridge west of the existing Brent Spence Bridge. The existing bridge will remain in service and be restriped from four lanes to three lanes in each direction to improve safety and traffic operations.

Beyond the new companion bridge, the project includes the replacement or rehabilitation of 22 ancillary structures, additional through lanes and roadway improvements, installation of noise barriers, construction of new and enhanced bicycle and pedestrian facilities, and numerous other infrastructure upgrades. With an estimated workforce of nearly 700 skilled tradespeople and approximately six million work hours, the BSBC Project represents one of the largest and most complex transportation construction efforts in the region. Through its engineering, construction inspection, and coatings inspection services, True Inspection Services plays a key role in supporting the successful delivery of this landmark infrastructure project.
